What customers say?

“ Banh mi was great! But service was mess, not taking order in line and also take long time for a banh mi to be prepared as they just busy talk talk talk… But banh mi was flavorful tho ”

“ I work nearby and have this for lunch EVERY DAY! Freshly baked soft bread rolls, generous with the meat and patey with a great ratio of salads, chilli, and sauce. $9 for a Cripsy pork roll and $7.50 for a chicken roll. Great value, hence why I don't bother food prepping my lunch. There's always a que, but they have plenty of staff on that the line moves quickly. And they also remember my order now, which is a bonus :) ”

“ Great banh mi! A contender with Marrickville pork roll. Better than the one across the road in my opinion. Only downside is the bread could be fresher (they don’t bake onsite). Other than that, the BBQ pork is perfectly balanced and a decent size. They also have a variety of delicious sticky rice (savoury and sweet), tapioca desserts etc. ”

“ 7/6/24 - 5 stars Have heard about this place for years and finally got the chance to try it. Does not disappoint and definitely brings me back to when I first was introduced to banh mi. Whilst it isn't exactly cheap at $9, I am yet to find one of this quality at a cheaper price point. Crackling pork roll Bread: SS+, 9.5/10. Perfectly crispy outside but soft inside. Even better, kept warm in a small oven just before being made Pate: S, 8/10. Probably a slightly unfair assessment since I asked for less and therefore couldn't really taste it but was not too salty and didn't dominate the flavours Pork: SS+, 9.5/10. Amazing. Still juicy. Still crunchy. Good ratio of fat and meat Salad: S, 8/10. Pickling was solid Value: S+, 8.5/10. Well worth it for $9. ”

“ Authentic banh mi. Perhaps too authentic as the server didn’t speak much english and defaulted to no chilli and coriander despite me saying “extra chilli and coriander”. The food was good though. ”

“ One of the best Vietnamese banh mi (bread rolls) in Sydney. Usually packed early in the morning and at the weekend. Delicious freshly made banh mi at reasonable prices. Even has a good review on Good Food Guide. Friendly staff. ”

“ Came to Banh Mi Bay Ngo Bankstown the other day and was thoroughly impressed. Ordered a crispy pork banh mi and rice paper rolls for good measure. The bread was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The pork was perfectly crispy and tender. Lovely pickled vegies. Heaps of patè I noticed very tasty. This was a phenomenal Vietnamese roll. Will be back for sure. ”
